Who?
I’m a pediatric resident, art and travel fanatic, story-teller, amateur photographer, pet-lover extraordinaire, wife, and proud Mexican who channels Martha Stewart. “Pediatric resident” means I’m a doctor.
What?
I started this blog right before my first year of residency as a hope for mental sanity. I love medicine, but I love so many other things too. So, this is my effort at achieving, say, “life-balance.” This is my “me” time, and it is a sweet reminder of the things, besides medicine, that make me ME. Also, you will never find negativity here. Only things to hopefully make you happy as well.
When?
Personal goal: Share cool stuff with you at least once a week (that’s very optimistic given my schedule, but sure try!). And to share cool stuff with you, I need to make sure I DO cool stuff… or at least spend some time appreciating the little things that bring me joy day to day.
Why?
Because I will be the best possible doctor if I am happy, and I will be happy if I allow myself the pursuit of my other favorite things in the world. I mean, I’m pretty sure that’s why Jesus threw so many wine parties.
Enjoy.

Ale, you will NEVER lose sight of who you are, you have so much passion and interest in everything, especially things in nature. Thank you so much for reminding me of who I am the other day…..and in case you should ever forget, I’ll be here to remind you, as well as many other friends and family. Yinnifying sound like an amazing idea! KUDOS to you, here’s to Yinnifying our lives!!!! You are a great inspiration, dude! Love you!
Dude! Your words mean the world to me! Also, I am really glad you like my ideas for the blog so far. Right now, as I have a little time off from the hospital, I have been focusing on setting up for myself something that will help me “survive” residency… something that easily reminds me of the things I love and hopefully keeps me on track with not losing sight of them. I think it’s going to work!
I am loving your blog. I like your idea of this website. I wish you many beautiful things and I highly doubt you can really forget where you come from. Ale: best wishes, as always, from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you, Angie, that means a lot! I’m glad you’re enjoying this!
